Every time I try to launch the game, it flashes the current launcher and then quickly changes to the old launcher stating it is 1.6.11 in the top left corner. So far I have deleted the entire minecraft folder, fresh installed, and pretty much everything else from the standard troubleshooting guide. Does anyone have any ideas why I am having this problem?

As far as I know, the only things that have changed on my computer has been an added video card and an update to said video cards drivers. No new software or hardware since the last time I launched the game.
