I updated my drivers as soon as I took back control and downloaded Minecraft. I'm noticing now, however, that my FPS is a bit inconsistent with microstutters and only averaging around 80-100. I set all my settings in the nvidia control panel to what they used to be (which emphasized performance over power saving/graphical fidelity).
